Late-night walk, because we felt like it. This was another one of those let's-get-this-over-with walks, because we're committed to not missing any days. Also, Thomas came with us – yay! Because Thomas doesn't really stop moving, every photo from this evening is blurred.
We thought we'd see how far we could get walking down the middle of the road. On our street, which isn't a main one, this was easy – we got right to the end. Here are Thomas and Matthew. Yes, Matthew is wearing his pyjamas, as am I (not in shot). Yes, we are falling into bad habits. At this point, does it really matter?
Here's Matthew again. The whole walk, every time the camera came anywhere near him, he ducked, or ran, or just hid. He said I could share this one with you. He also said that the camera loves him, but it can love him too much, so we have to be careful.
We found a nice quiet road where Thomas could practise his wheelies. It was 10pm, but most houses had their downstairs lights still on, so if he happened to do a bit of squeaking on his tyres, we knew we weren't really disturbing anyone.
Now, as you can see, this is the quality of image you're getting this evening. I think the iPhone would do better during the day, but, obviously, we wouldn't then be able to walk around in the middle of the road!
I kept missing the actual wheelie and getting the landing. Oops.
I did get the wheelie here – you can see it in the shadow (Matthew spotted this)! Shame Thomas was facing the other way. Shucks.
Several times, he thought it would be funny to ride as close to me as possible. Git.
Hmmm, what's going on here? Attempted fancy trick failed. Sorry, they do all have names, the tricks, but I don't remember any of them. This one might have been called the Superman, or something.
This, in focus, would have been a great shot of a wheelie. But we can't have everything we want, can we? No.
Now then, that's more like it, eh? This is called ... honestly, I don't know. The standing-on-the-bike-while-it's-moving trick. Hurray! Well done, Thomas.
Until tomorrow, when I would quite like to see the sea.
