Day two of lockdown equals day two of my daily walk. So far, 100% success rate on my little project!
Today, I went out a little later in the evening – at twilight, in fact. I Googled ‘twilight’ – because I Google a lot, and I like to be precise with my words – and it showed me pictures of Robert Pattinson. That’s not what I was after. A refined search confirmed that twilight is actually morning or evening, any time the sky fades (to light or to dark) and has a tendency towards a pinkish tinge.
So, like this:
Just after I took this photo, Thomas kicked the football at me and I nearly dropped my phone in some mud. So that was quite fun. Then we had a cup of tea – yes, you read that right. Matthew took his flask with him, because this was quite a hike of, oooh ... roughly one whole mile and we knew we'd need a bit of refreshment around halfway.
Until tomorrow, fellow lockdowners.

Quite pretty, eh? Doesn’t really matter that the little hill there is the local rubbish tip.
It was down to the river again for me, Matthew and James. James was forced to come outside and he sort of enjoyed it but pretended he didn’t and went home before the rest of us to steal the PS4 from Thomas's room. Thomas turned up with a football after a while because he thought he might be missing out on something awesome. He was, of course – not much is better than being outside just for the sake of it. Häagan-Dazs pralines and cream is probably better, but I don't think there's much else that is.
It was too late for those birds I mentioned yesterday, and they’d all gone to bed. The houses in yesterday’s photo looked rather pretty in the fading light, though, all reflected in the water.
They don’t look like any other houses that I’ve seen in Lancaster or Morecambe. Do they have a bit of a Scandinavian feel, perhaps?
Another thing we saw this evening that we wouldn't have given a moment's thought to otherwise was Venus. I'll put it here, but you might not be able to see it if you're reading this on your phone.
